  1. Fees: Flat ₹1,000 per session - no other promotions applicable.
  2. Who you may work with: Clients are thoughtfully matched with one of our Associate Consultants. If no associate is available or a good fit, sessions may be taken by Abhishek Faria (Founder & Consultant) or another senior member of the Healing Hour team.
  3. How allocation works: Each client is matched based on presenting concerns, personal preferences, and therapeutic fit. Our priority is always the quality of care and continuity for every individual. If you find the fit to not work well for you, we will be happy to match you with another Consultant.
  4. Why this exists: This service is part of Healing Hour’s Accessible Care and Partial Pro Bono initiative, aimed at making therapy affordable without lowering professional or ethical standards.     This depends on the nature and severity of the issue being addressed. The counselling sessions are structured based on the latest evidence and best practices. Healing Hour advises weekly sessions and recommends 5-6 sessions at the outset.

    One session, very likely, is not enough! Counselling and therapy work best when goals and timelines are defined. We recommend our clients opt for strategically designed and well-thought-out care plans. The care plans are designed to achieve goals at different stages of the process

    The number of sessions would depend on the problem at hand. It is usually analysed in the first session. That said, counselling is a time-taking process and it may take multiple sessions to go deep into it.

    Usually, sessions are 45 minutes in duration. But in some cases, depending on the issue and the frequency of sessions, the sessions may run a little longer. This, however, also depends upon the availability and schedule of your service provider. It is good practice to stick to session timings. However, in exceptional circumstances, if your session is running over time because a critical issue is being explored, you can request Healing Hour for an extension which will be accommodated solely based on discretion and availability. Clients also have the option of scheduling 2 back-to-back sessions for their comfort.

    Research has revealed that online counselling is as impactful as in-person counselling; in many cases, the impact has been even more sustained and long-lasting. Online counselling techniques enable clients to access a therapist from anywhere, at a convenient time while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. The online interaction makes the process non-threatening and allows clients to feel more comfortable and express themselves better.

    At Healing Hour™ your privacy is critical and of utmost importance. We ensure that all communications are safe and confidential. Tools used by us are end-to-end encrypted and at-rest encrypted.

    Online counselling and therapy services are conducted through real-time video conferencing where Healing Hour will have virtual face-to-face interaction with individuals, audio consultation through a phone, or a live chat session over the internet.

    Healing Hour offers counselling through face to face sessions, Real-time video sessions, telephonic consultations, and real-time chat.

    Our Care Plans have unlimited validity and they do not expire!

    Mr Abhishek Faria completed his BSc and MSc in Psychology from Australia and the UK respectively. He is pursuing Doctorate in Clinical and Sports Psychology from the USA while working in Mumbai.

    Please feel free to reach out to us regarding any concern that you may have regarding slots, pricing or any other request (for eg, if a client wishes to purchase two different types of care plans - one for mental health and one for physical health). We will try to help you out to the best of our capacities and make the services more convenient and affordable for you (on a case by case basis) in any way we can.

    We understand that due to unforeseen events, cancellations of appointments do take place from time to time. The carefully curated validity plans are in place to address this issue. However, please be aware that repeated and last moment cancellations are not only a loss for your healthcare provider but also for another client like you who needed that slot and was not able to book it as it was already booked by you. To counter this issue and also to help clients adhere to and benefit effectively from the services, cancellations may not be accepted under repetitive, unnecessary and inconsiderate cases. Please note, this is not for one-off cancellations from to time to time, but under extreme circumstances.

    All clients are entitled to a 50% refund for any unused services. The already availed sessions/services of the care plan package will be charged with standard fee of the applicable service. Transfer of remaining sessions/services is recommended instead - clients are entitled to transfer any of their remaining sessions/services to their friends or family at minimal cost!
